OVERVIEW

For over 30 years Intrepid has been taking travellers around the globe, or as the company puts it: “changing the way people see the world, on small group tours with like-minded people.” Founded by two travel-loving friends from Australia, the company now has 1,500 staff around the world. Intrepid has always sought to offer a sustainable approach to its operations, with the goal of being “the best travel company not just in the world, but for the world.”

Intrepid categorizes its tours by themes and styles. Themes include: 18-29, Active, Cruises, Family, Festivals, Food, Polar, Tailor-Made, Walking & Trekking, Wildlife, Winter Tours and Women’s Expeditions. Styles of travel offered by Intrepid are: Basix, Original, Comfort and Premium.

DESTINATIONS VISITED

With more than 1,000 adventures in over 100 countries, Intrepid covers much of the globe– north to south, east to west. Mountains to the lowlands, cities to the seas. So whether your clients want to explore the Arctic’s apex or Antarctica’s underside, Africa’s wilds or Europe’s elegance– Intrepid goes there. Their goal is to take off the beaten track, behind the scenes and really in the thick of the destination.

Intrepid trips are offered in  EuropeAsiaAfricaNorth & South Americathe Middle EastAustralia and both the Arctic & Antarctica. The company’s current Top 10 Destinations include: Morocco, Vietnam, India, Peru, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Cuba, Cambodia, Jordan and Australia.

AGENT PORTAL

The Intrepid Agent Portal allows agents to create, manage and track bookings. A Live Chat features enables agents to get booking questions answered in real time.

The portal is also the jumping-off point for an array of advisor resources, including training, incentives, brochures, social assets, and advice on creating ‘Tailor-Made’ customized trips. There’s also a Polar Agent Hub where advisors can find all the information they need to help clients plan Polar journeys.

AGENT TRAINING

The Industry Advisor Training Hub is where advisors will find resources to help sell and market Intrepid products, become more knowledgeable on the different destinations that the company visits, and learn about special advisor rates and discounts. The hub also gives access to live training sessions and training on demand.

Travel advisors can become an Intrepid Travel Specialist by watching 5 Core Webinars. Upon completion, graduates can email intrepidspecialist@intrepidtravel.com to receive a certificate. Advisors must be registered for the Agent Portal and a member of the Intrepid Travel Advisor Community to qualify.

The Advisor Incentive page on the Intrepid website is frequently updated with all current incentives for agents in the Americas.

LOCAL AGENT SUPPORT

The Intrepid Travel Advisor Community – Americas, is a resource for Travel Advisors in Canada and the U.S. on Intrepid Group industry news, promotions, and events. It also offers a platform for any questions or advice. Members can send a message on the page and someone from the Intrepid North American team will be able and ready to assist.

AGENT MARKETING TOOLS

At the Advisor Resource Centre registered agents can visit the Resource Hub section to access product brochures and social assets to help promote Intrepid travel products to their clients.
